Paper Grass and a Freebie

I just love the grass cutting dies but I try not to spend money on ALL THE THINGS. So I figured out a way to get the same look with my Silhouette machine. And I'm sharing a freebie with you at the bottom of this post so you can do the same!

I had this little elephant guy hanging around and thought he would look cute sitting in the grass. I used pink and orange distress inks to make a background and some Heidi Swapp sprays to add some splatters and shine.

The file I created cuts 4 long strips of grass (just over 8 inches) and a few grass "tufts" as well. Plenty to get a few cards completed or a scrapbook page decorated. If you need some help making a cut file out of a PNG, you can view my short video tutorial over on this post.
