J. Conlon and Sons: The big debate and a freebie layered template

Since I started this blog (what, a whole week ago?) I have been struggling with including photos of my children. I see so many people who share their childrens photos on blogs and scrapbooking is about journaling your life...and, obviously, my kids are a huge part of my life. But even the slightest hint of a danger to them or even their digital representations makes my skin crawl. I would not be able to handle it if anyone took a photo I posted and used it for their own use...depraved or not.

So I haven't found the perfect solution yet...hard to have a scrapbooking blog if you can't share 90% of your layouts! So for now I'll be sharing layouts with grayed out spots for the photo areas.

I created this layout for a book I'm designing of the last two years with my boys. This page has pictures of my older son's first six months...to show how much he changed.

I'm offering this template up to all of you to use as you wish. The PSD file is all layered so you can easily drop in your photos and use my layer styles if you wish! The background is my from my own Lakehouse collection...you get that included!...and the journaling circle has a nice paper texture so you can use it as-is if you wish.
